My penguin creation is so tasty... 'Gimbap Art' Spring Picnic Lunchbox

My penguin creation is so tasty... 'Gimbap Art' Spring Picnic Lunchbox Recommended 'Gimbap Art' for a Spring Picnic Lunchbox Packed with White Rice GoodnessFollow the recipe and before you know it, you'll have rabbits and more atop your gimbapEven beginners can do it, making it a challenge for couples to try together Any lunchbox transforms beautifully with character gimbap. I tried making a lunchbox filled with the freshness of spring, featuring penguin, flower, and rabbit gimbap accompanied by fruits. By Baek Seung-cheol, freelance photojournalist. "Whose lunchbox looks prettier?" The highlight of a picnic is undoubtedly the moment you open a meticulously prepared lunchbox lid. Sharing gimbap with family, friends, or a significant other is an essential part of spring outings. This spring, instead of ordinary gimbap, why not try making character gimbap that looks as good as it tastes? I learned gimbap art from Lee Yeon-hwa, who works as a food artist in Songpa-gu, Seoul, for two days. Gimbap art refers to food art where cute characters appear on the cross-section when gimbap is sliced, achieved by skillfully arranging rice and ingredients of different colors. This representative is Korea's first food artist and the president of the International Food Art Association, researching culinary methods that incorporate artistry into food. The representative started the class by showing various lunchbox designs featuring different characters. "In just two hours, even beginners can easily make it. Many first-timers in making lunchboxes also come, and their satisfaction is high," explained the representative. There's no need to feel intimidated at the moment of wondering if you can do gimbap art, as the vibrant lunchboxes made in advance. Anyone can make pretty character gimbap just by following the recipe. In gimbap art, the basic size of seaweed used is half of the long side of gimbap seaweed. For the rice, mix 4 tablespoons of vinegar, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and 1/2 tablespoon of salt together, then mix it with rice in a 1:10 ratio. This makes the rice less prone to souring, allowing it to be stored and consumed for a longer period. When I took a bite of the rice, it had a slightly tangy yet warm flavor. If you don't like the taste of vinegar, you can halve the sweetened vinegar mixture and mix in sesame oil instead. The nutty flavor of the sesame oil balances out the sourness. The amount of rice is also an important point to consider. The more accurately you measure the rice according to the recipe, the prettier the shapes will turn out. Having never made a lunchbox before, I was initially skeptical about whether I could follow the gimbap art, but as I followed the prepared recipe, before I knew it, there were rows of adorable gimbap. Dipping a piece of gimbap into soy sauce and mayonnaise, it had a savory yet subtly flavorful taste lingering in the mouth. It's a double delight, visually and gustatorily, with joy for the eyes and pleasure for the taste buds. This spring outing, why not prepare beautiful gimbap art lunchboxes and venture out into nature with family, friends, or loved ones? Penguin Gimbap Recipe Waddling across the ice, penguins are synonymous with cuteness. Penguin gimbap, with its chubby beak, brings a smile to your face the moment you open your lunchbox. Ingredients: Sweetened vinegar, 90g white rice, 30g brown rice, 2 sheets of standard-sized seaweed, sausage, 2 strips of burdock root Instructions: (1) Cut the standard-sized seaweed into 2/3 of its original size and evenly spread white rice on it. (2) Place burdock root at both ends of step (1) and wrap them. Leave some space between the two burdock roots. (3) Cut the sausage vertically into long strips, then wrap them with the remaining seaweed from step (1). (4) Place the sausages in the space created in step (2) and cover them with brown rice. (5) Use a seaweed cutter to wrap the entire step (4) with a standard-sized seaweed. (6) Shape with the seaweed cutter and cut uniformly. Making Flower Gimbap Shall we bloom flowers in the lunchbox like a vibrant spring day? When you see gimbap adorned with yellow and pink colors, admiration for its neat beauty naturally arises. Ingredients: Sweetened vinegar, 90g white rice, 1 sheet of standard-sized seaweed, 6 sheets of 1/3-sized seaweed, sausage, beet powder Instructions: (1) Sprinkle sweetened vinegar mixed with beet powder onto white rice to create pink-colored rice. (2) Roll the pink rice in 15g portions using seaweed cut to 1/3 of its original size. (3) Place sausage in the center and arrange (2) into a flower petal shape to form a flower. (4) Wrap (3) with a standard-sized seaweed sheet and shape it with a seaweed cutter, then cut it uniformly. #SpringPicnic #GimbapArt #FlowerGimbap #LunchboxIdeas #CreativeCooking #PenguinGimbap #FoodArt #SpringFlavors #ColorfulCuisine #KoreanFood #SpringOuting #PicnicIdeas #HealthyEating #GourmetGimbap #HomemadeLunch #ArtisticCuisine #KoreanCuisine All rights reserved Stay14 Bespoke Sources : https://n.news.naver.com/mnews/article/662/0000040947
