ποΈπ Spend a Summer Night by the Han River! Seoul Brings Back Overnight Camping After 8 Years π°π·β¨ Looking for a unique way to experience a Seoul summer? Great news! π This August, the Seoul Metropolitan Government is bringing back overnight camping along the Han River for the first time in eight years with a special event called "Han River Bamping" (Night Camping). If you've ever dreamed of enjoying fried chicken π, cold beer πΊ, beautiful river views π, and sleeping under the stars β¨, this is your chance! https://www.yna.co.kr/view/AKR20260723088651004?input=1195m For many years, overnight camping in Han River parks was prohibited to protect public spaces from litter, noise, and environmental damage. Since 2000, camping outside designated areas has been banned, and after temporary summer campgrounds ended in 2018, overnight stays were only allowed at official facilities like Nanji Camping Ground. This year, however, Seoul is reopening the experience with a fresh concept focused on safe and enjoyable summer nights. The temporary Han River Bamping sites will open throughout August at Yeouido Hangang Park and Ttukseom Hangang Park, with 100 tents at each location. Visitors can stay from 5:00 PM until 9:00 AM the following morning. Best of all, the camping area itself is free, although reservations are required in advance. You can either bring your own tent or rent one on-site for an additional fee. ποΈπ https://www.mt.co.kr/policy/2026/07/24/2026072315561740520 Unlike previous camping events, this new version focuses more on relaxing and enjoying Seoul's nightlife rather than traditional camping. π₯ Cooking and barbecue are not allowed, and multi-night stays are also prohibited. Instead, visitors can enjoy nearby swimming pools π, outdoor movie screenings π¬, live performances π΅, food delivery π, and the beautiful nighttime atmosphere of the Han River. The city is even considering additional Han River Bus services to make late-night transportation easier. π€β¨ It's important to remember that overnight camping is only permitted inside these designated temporary campgrounds. Camping overnight anywhere else along the Han River remains prohibited and may result in hefty fines. The city will also increase CCTV coverage, lighting, and 24-hour security patrols to ensure everyone enjoys a safe and comfortable experience. ππ‘ Whether you're planning a fun date β€οΈ, a relaxing evening with friends π―, or simply want to experience one of Seoul's most iconic summer traditions, Han River Bamping offers a perfect opportunity to enjoy the city from sunset to sunrise. There's nothing quite like listening to the river, watching the city lights sparkle, and waking up beside one of Seoul's most beautiful landmarks. π ποΈ #HanRiver #HanRiverCamping #HanRiverBamping #Seoul #VisitSeoul #SeoulTravel #KoreaTravel #SouthKorea #SummerInSeoul #Camping #Glamping #NightCamping #OutdoorAdventure #Yeouido #Ttukseom #HangangPark #SeoulNight #KoreanSummer #TravelKorea #KoreanCulture #WeekendGetaway #TentCamping #FoodDelivery #OutdoorMovie #LiveMusic #TravelGuide #BucketList #SeoulLife #ExploreKorea #SummerAdventure
