ππ― A Magical Night at Changdeokgung: Moonlight Tour Returns This Fall! Imagine walking through a royal palace after sunset, surrounded by softly glowing lanterns, peaceful gardens, traditional Korean music, and centuries of history. β¨π― One of Seoul’s most beautiful nighttime cultural experiences, the Changdeokgung Moonlight Tour (μ°½λκΆ λ¬λΉκΈ°ν), is returning this fall! The 2026 Fall Changdeokgung Moonlight Tour will run from September 10 to October 17, every Thursday through Sunday. Unlike a regular daytime palace visit, this special program allows a limited number of guests to explore Changdeokgung Palace and its famous Secret Garden after dark. ππ And “limited” really does mean limited! Only 28 people can participate in each session, with a total of 3,864 spots available throughout the season. This intimate group size makes the experience feel much more peaceful and exclusive than an ordinary palace tour. https://www.yna.co.kr/view/AKR20260818031600005?input=1195m Each evening features six sessions. The first group begins at 7:10 PM, 7:15 PM, and 7:20 PM, while the second group starts at 8:00 PM, 8:05 PM, and 8:10 PM. Each tour lasts approximately 100 minutes, giving visitors plenty of time to enjoy the palace without rushing. π―οΈ Accompanied by a professional guide, guests begin at Geumhomun Gate and travel through some of Changdeokgung’s most beautiful spaces, including Geumcheongyo Bridge, Injeongjeon Hall, Huijeongdang Hall, Nakseonjae, Sangnyangjeong Pavilion, Buyongji Pond, Aeryeonjeong Pavilion, Yeongyeongdang Hall, and the atmospheric forest paths of the Secret Garden (Huwon). π³π― But this isn't simply a guided walking tour. Traditional Korean performances are woven into the journey, making it feel like stepping back into the Joseon Dynasty. πΆ At Sangnyangjeong Pavilion, visitors can listen to the hauntingly beautiful sound of the daegeum, a traditional Korean bamboo flute. At Buyongji Pond, you'll encounter performers recreating a Joseon royal procession during the special “Royal Family’s Walk” program—and you'll even have a chance to take commemorative photos with them. ππΈ Later, at Yeongyeongdang Hall, guests can relax while enjoying a traditional Korean music ensemble accompanied by Korean refreshments and tea. π΅π‘ Under the moonlight, surrounded by traditional architecture, it's easy to understand why this program is considered one of Seoul’s most romantic cultural experiences. ποΈ How to Get Tickets For general visitors, tickets will be distributed through a lottery system because demand is extremely high.Applications open at 2:00 PM on August 20 and close at 11:59 PM on August 26.
