It is one of the biggest summer festivals in South Korea regardless of nationality, race, language, and age. This extraordinary event brings people together to enjoy a wide range of activities, creating an inclusive and immersive experience with mud. The first Mud festival was conducted to promote mud cosmetic based on the proposed mud experience programs in 1998. What is Mud? Mud, also known as "wet soil with moisture," is formed by a gradual process involving the geographical and chemical breakdown of microorganisms over an extended period. It consists of clay, which contains accumulated earth, salts, and the decomposed remains of animals, plants, and other organic matter. The mud used in this festival is packed with minerals that help soften the skin, improve blood circulation, slow again process, balance pH levels and pull toxins out of body. Programs in the Festival Here are some of the exciting programs you can expect to find at the festival : http://www.daejonilbo.com/news/articleView.html?idxno=1222437 1. Tickets and Information To gain access to the Mud Zone, a ticket purchase is required. The entrance fee for the Mud Zone is 14,000 won ($11) and can be conveniently obtained online or directly at the festival grounds. While the remaining areas of the festival are open to the public free of charge, I highly recommend purchasing a ticket to experience the thrill and excitement of the Mud Zone.
